CODE OF STANDARDS AND ETHICS of WOMEN
IN THE INDUSTRY, INC.
This initial Code of Standards and Ethics was adopted
unanimously on July 10, 2008 by the Board of Directors
(“Board”) of Women in the Industry, Inc.
PREAMBLE
Women in the Industry, Inc. (“WIN”) and
its members (“Members”) are committed to
the highest standards and ethics in the vacation industry
for the benefit of owners of individual resort owner
(member)ships and of the clients of WIN Members. WIN
exists to raise the level of recognition of women in
the vacation industry and to foster their professional
growth by furthering their skill sets through education
as well as providing a forum for its members to unite
and leverage best practices. Further, WIN exists to
serve as an international vehicle to grown the businesses
of WIN Members through education, professional standards,
industry organization involvement, and industry networking.
To demonstrate this commitment, WIN adopted this Code
of Standards and Ethics. All Members of WIN agree to
comply with this Code of Standards and Ethics which
establishes guidelines for Members to conduct business
ethically, fairly and with professionalism, integrity,
dignity, and honesty.
TERMS
The term “WIN Member” or “Member”
shall include any individual, resort, development, corporation,
partnership, sole proprietorship, or entity which has
made application to and been accepted as a bona fide
member of the WIN organization and shall further include
those categories of Members as may be set forth in the
By-laws of WIN.
STANDARDS AND ETHICS
ARTICLE I
WIN Members shall endeavor to become and remain informed
on matters and trends affecting the vacation industry
and to eliminate any practices which could prove damaging
to the consumer and/or to the vacation industry.
ARTICLE II
WIN Members shall endeavor to exhibit a positive example
for the vacation industry by abiding by all state, provincial
and/or federal legislation pertinent to and governing
the purposes, activity, and practices for which a WIN
Member or its respective business or associated company
exists, as well as any national and/or international
laws pertinent to and governing particular business
practices of a WIN Member or their/its associated business
or company.
ARTICLE III
WIN Members shall protect, promote, and represent the
WIN organization and its/their respective companies
honestly and in a professional manner to fellow WIN
Members, to the vacation industry, to its/their respective
clients, and to the clients of WIN Members. WIN Members
shall further protect, promote, and honestly and fairly
represent the interests of its/their respective clients
and the clients of fellow WIN Members.
ARTICLE IV
WIN Members shall endeavor to maintain a level of competent
service in keeping with the highest standards of the
vacation industry. WIN Members shall refrain from making
unfounded, false or misleading statements regarding
other WIN Members or non-WIN members (companies or entities)
associated with or a part of the vacation industry.
ARTICLE V
WIN Members shall respect the individual clients of
fellow WIN Members and the companies they represent
and shall encourage each other’s business development
through ordinary and accepted business practices.
ARTICLE VI
The procedures for the administration and enforcement
of this Code of Standards and Ethics shall be governed
by the WIN Ethics Committee as set forth in this Article
VI of the WIN Code of Standards and Ethics.

ARTICLE VII
WIN Members shall at all times conduct business fairly,
honestly, professionally, and with respect and goodwill
to uphold the highest ideals of the vacation industry.
