WIN: Executive Director Position

Women in the Industry (WIN) is a non profit, grass roots organization in its early stages of development. The primary purpose of WIN is to foster the growth of women in the shared ownership industry by recognizing and connecting women, furthering their skill sets through education and providing a forum to unite and leverage best practices by providing life, work and balance support.

In order to move the organization to the next level, the position of a part time Executive Director is being created. This position will be responsible for the marketing coordination, fundraising and administrative operations of the organization; communication with the membership base; assisting in the growth of the membership base through an incentive based program; managing and updating databases to record member contact and preference information;and be responsible for monitoring governance in congruence with WIN's established by-laws. Base salary will be commensurate with experience and skill sets. An incentive structure will be determined based on membership development and corporate level membership enrollment. The position will require about 10-12 hours per week.

The position is most preferably filled by an individual or company with existing office infrastructure, prior experience in a similar role as well as the ability to travel.

The Executive Director will report to the WIN Board of Directors and be a member of WIN in good standing.

Ideally, the candidate will possess the following professional skill set:

    • Understanding of non profit organization management requirements and tools;
    • Building and maintaining profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with donors and potential donors;
    • Background and reputation in the vacation ownership/hospitality industry
    • Ability to raise awareness of WIN and its work, at both a regional and national level - this may involve presentations to groups and media relations;
    • Event/Board meeting coordination;
    • Preparing reports for both members and sponsors of WIN;
    • Competent in basic Microsoft Office programs/technology;
    • Ability to maintain database of members;
    • Versed in social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook;
    • Some competency in Adobe or compatible graphics software.

Candidates should touch on ability to deliver the position objectives and in what time frame. Proposal should identify any additional staff you anticipate working with you in achieving the objectives.
